![]() Lately, I've been a "go to" doctor when it comes to soccer knee injuries. It could be that I play soccer with many different groups and people feel comfortable with me. I understand the movements that soccer players use. I have noticed that these injuries are happening mostly due to an imbalance in the musculature of the individual. I see teens all the way to the weekend warriors as patients who have injured their knees. We have been successful in diagnosing knee problems and have been successful in treating them conservatively. We do come across surgical cases in which we have done very well with the pre and post operational rehab. If you are a soccer player and want to prevent injuries, it is smart to go to a sports chiropractor in order to get a consultation in the prevention of injuries. If you have injured your knee, you should go and have it checked before continuing to play. Sometimes, a simple rehab treatment can "fix" the problem and allow you to return to competitive soccer. Ignoring it can have serious effects and force you to hang your cleats up for good.
